The Great British Viking Quest will begin on the River Thames, England’s longest river, on May 28th 2015. Sarah Weldon will row from Henley-On-Thames to Tower Bridge, London, looking for clues of our Viking past in a state-of-the-art, custom built rowing boat.
From London, Sarah, sets out anti clockwise around the coast of mainland Britain, stopping off at points of significant Viking interest. A more detailed map of the route will be uploaded in the coming months. The row will end back in Henley around September 2015.
During the voyage children will be able to track Sarah’s movements, monitor her vital signs, brain activity, etc. with the help of advanced technology provided by sponsors and enthusiasts. More details to come about the voyage as we approach the event date in May!
